The X Factor judge has spoken out in support of her husband following the abuse claims

Mel B has kept quiet on THOSE allegations that Stephen Belafonte had been abusing her, but now she's FINALLY spoken out in support of her husband, denying that he's ever touched her.

Following weeks of speculation over the state of her marriage, thanks to accusations that Stephen had been abusing his wife after  she appeared  on X factor with bruises, Mel finally took to Instagram last night to set the record straight.

Let's hope this post will mean the two of them can be left to deal with whatever problems they may or may not have in peace.

Mel B, 39, has so far kept schtum on the allegations, despite husband Stephen strongly denying any wrongdoing, but yesterday the former Spice Girl seemingly decided that enough is enough and felt it right to clear all the nasty rumours up on her social media.

Posting the above photo of the two looking cosy, Mel wrote: "This is for my fans havin problems with my Twitter will be back soon!

I'm very good was very polly but much better now and for the record my hubby never would lay a hand on me sorry took so long but any response fuels rumors #lovemyfamily#lovemyfans."

She's perhaps got a point.

Since then, things have gone from bad to worse for the couple, as members of both Mel and Stephen's family have spoken out about her husband's supposed violent nature and their worries for Mel.

Stephen, however, has been vehemently trying to clear his name, writing at the time of Mel's suspicious bruises: "Idon't usually respond to Twitter msgs but I will respond to comments of hitting my wife which I think are quite disgusting un true!

"Mel was very ill a bunch of doctors helped her get better if fans can't just relax B4 being negative they r not real fans of @OfficialMelB
